Lyngby-Taarbæk is a municipality in the region of Hovedstaden (Capital of Denmark) in Denmark. The municipality has about 55,500 inhabitants and is a suburb of Copenhagen (København).

Location[edit]

Lyngby-Taarbæk is located in the eastern part of Zealand and in the east the municipality reaches the Öresund coast, north of Gentofte municipality. The municipality is located about 10 kilometers north of Copenhagen's center. The municipality borders the municipalities Gentofte in the south, Gladsaxe in the southwest, Furesø in the northwest and Rudersdal in north.

The main town is Kongens Lyngby.

The most taken zone is Rutsjebanen which is located by the old wooden roller coaster (Rutchebanen) on Dyrehavsbakken, a.k.a. Bakkens, amusement park in Klampenborg, east of the capital Kongens Lyngby.
