Chungcheongnam (South Chungcheong) is one of 15 regions in South Korea. It is a province in the western part of the country and has about 2 million inhabitants.
Hongseong is the capital and has about 90 000 inhabitants.
Adjacent region are Gyeonggi in the north, Chungcheongbuk and Daejeon in the east and Jeollabuk in the south.
