Lappland is a province in northernmost Sweden that has about 92 000 inhabitants. In Turf most of the province is included in the regions of Norrbotten and Västerbotten. A smaller part of this province is included in the region of Jämtland. The province is Sweden's largest in area and covers approximately a quarter of the entire country's surface.
The province consists mainly of the twelve municipalities Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, Dorotea, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, Lycksele, Malå, Sorsele, Storuman, Vilhelmina and Åsele. A smaller part of Strömsunds is also part of the province.
