Espoo (Swedish: Esbo) is a municipality and a city in the region Etelä-Suomi (Southern Finland) in Finland. The city, which in Swedish is called Esbo and in Finnish Espoo forms part of the Finnish capital region and is located directly west of the capital Helsinki (Helsingfors). With around 280,000 inhabitants, it is the country's second most populous municipality after Helsinki.
