Event

An event is a form of competition in Turf that is played on a special event area under a limited time. All events have their own toplist and own zones that replaces the normal zones within the event area. A Bonanza is an official event that takes place once a year and can be compared to the world championship of Turf.

The event area appears as a white rectangle in the app during the event. An approximate delimitation of the event area can also be seen both before and after the event at turfgame.com/event.

An event, which is not a Bonanza, is less prestigious and can be hosted by regular players if approved by Event Manager.

An event can be open or closed. In a closed event, you need to register in advance to participate. In an open event, it is only to come, although interest is preferably shown in advance through Turfforum or in another way as the organizer states. Another difference between an open and closed event is that in a closed event, turfers who are not at the event can still take over any zones that are normally located on the venue. It is not possible in an open event, as the zones that are within the event area are deactivated during the event and replaced with event zones.

Open events

An open event is visible and open for all. You take part in the event by taking a zone in the event area.

Closed events

In a closed event all players that wishes to take part needs to inform the organizer beforehand. A closed event is invisible for all players not taking part.

24-hours event

A 24-hour event is an event that lasts for 24 hours. There is a medal connected to this event form.

Medals

• Open event: Everyone who takes at least one event zone receives the participant medal Eventor.
• Closed event: No medals will be awarded here.
• 24-hour event: Here, everyone who completes the event receives the Event24 medal.

Specific event rules

A summary of the rules that apply during an event:

• Takeover time is 30 seconds.
• Block time is 3 minutes.
• Assist is inactive.
• Neutral bonus and all other bonuses are disabled.
• All zones are worth 10 TP and have 60 PPH (1 point per minute).
• All points are calculated to a specific toplist.
• All normal zones within the event area are inactive until the events ends. This does not apply for players not taking part in a closed event.

Rules for organizers

"All who wishes to organize turf events do so by mailing events@turfgame.com. You will then recieve basic info about the event system and principles for zone making etc. Since the beginning of turf this information has always been given for a closed event. As an organizer you will get an account and a few event slots and when these are used up you can apply for more.

For organizing an open event there are some mini requirements.

1. An open event must be marketed for all turfers via forum or facebook. Thus it is not possible to run an open event for only association members or a town.
2. At an open event there has to be a place for changing clothes, shower and toilet near the event area.
3. At an open event there must be some form of price table.

How do you organize an event?

1. Those who are eager to organize meet, discuss and write together a little about how they think and how they want to divide the work.
2. The contact person in the group contacts an Event Manager at the appropriate email address as below, and tells them how they intend.
   1. Are you a sports teacher or the like and interested in organizing a school event, email skolevent@turfgame.com for further information.
   2. If you belong to a scout organization and are interested in organizing an Event, email scoutevent@turfgame.com for further information.
   3. If you are interested in arranging an Event, email events@turfgame.com and you will receive some basic info about the event system and principles for placement of zones etc.
3. If approved, the zones will be planned and tested by the organizers before the event.
